Week 12

Because of expected rain and limited available work in the house, we had a smaller than usual crew today.  Amy finished up some sprinkler work in the front then joined the crew wiring outlets inside. Monica showed Lian how to wire the outlets, passing on the knowledge imparted by Hans.  They both tried to get photos of the process to assist in future training document. Chuck, Jack, and John worked on getting the vent installed over the stove. New comer, Alex Scott,  joined the crew in the kitchen to help get more cabinets hung.

Gigs, AKA Donny and Claire were visiting Lian from the Netherlands and joined her to work at the Bonifacio house today. They wanted to know, experience and see the everyday life of Lian and were dying to meet her coworkers at Habitat. They started working in the bathroom removing the base tile in prep for the floor installation. They discovered the wallboard behind the old sink and toilet behind the tile was disintegrated, so they took some scrap wallboard and patched it. They then moved on to help wiring up the electrical outlets. During lunch break, they received great advice from Mike to get married for the party and honeymoon and how to install plugs into their “love nest”.

Photos from this past weekend are already posted in the online scrapbook (newest photos are always at the end, so scroll down). Check back here next week for another chapter in the Bonifacio Project Blog!
