In 1994, Habitat for Humanity International and the AmeriCorps National Service Program entered into a partnership aimed at mobilizing more volunteers in the fight against poverty housing. Through this partnership, Habitat*AmeriCorps members serve throughout the country with Habitat for Humanity affiliates. AmeriCorps members have been serving with our affiliate, Habitat East Bay, since 1996, building homes and building relationships with our partner families and volunteers.
