    Construction Site Assistant

    position description
Perhaps the most wonderful aspect of my Habitat*AmeriCorps experience is the opportunity I have, day in and day out, to work with new, wonderful and unique people. People, after all, are our best resource and most valuable "material."
--John McGowan, Construction Site Assistant 1999-2001

AmeriCorps Construction Site Assistants serve on the construction site building homes five days per week (Tuesday through Saturday) leading groups of volunteers in various tasks, organizing projects, delegating responsibilities and providing instruction.

    Volunteer Coordinator

    position description
You wouldn't believe how many interesting and enthusiastic people I talk to on a daily basis. My drive to help realize social justice is constantly re-inspired and renewed.
    --Darcy Stewart, Volunteer Coordinator 1999-2000

The Volunteer Coordinator serves Tuesday through Friday in the office and Saturdays on the construction site helping to develop and expand the volunteer program.

    Homeowner Relations Coordinator

    position description
Being a Habitat*AmeriCorps member has been very educational-more so than I expected it to be. I got to see different viewpoints-the affiliate's and the homeowners. That was enlightening.
--Rose Barreto, Homeowner Relations Assistant 1999-2000

Homeowner Relations Coordinators serve full time in the office (Monday through Friday) to insure the smooth transition into homeownership for Habitat's partner families.
