Bank of America Sponsors a house at the Crockett Development

Corporate Giving

"All my life I wanted to have my own house - my own picket fence, my own walls. I wanted a home in which my children could grow. Habitat for Humanity builds houses, and it also builds lives, families, communities and self-esteem. Home is the real thing, and Habitat helped us get one."
-Kareen Hunter
Habitat for Humanity East Bay Homeowner

"Adopt-a-House" Sponsorship Options

Full House -- A full house sponsor is a critical Habitat partner, making a significant commitment to affordable housing in the East Bay, and demonstrating true civic leadership in the community. A House Sponsor donates $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity East Bay to help cover the cost of construction of a single Habitat home (actual home construction costs vary due to location, land and infrastructure costs, and the design of the home). This significant donation entitles the donor to an exclusive sponsorship of a Habitat home. Sponsorship benefits include:

  • Kick-off event at the construction site at the start of the partnership
  • Participation in the home dedication with the family when the house is complete
  • Press releases distributed to all major media outlets in the Bay Area
  • High visibility signage located at the site indicating Company sponsorship for the duration of the build (typically 6-12 months)
  • Highlighted story in our newsletter reaching 25,000 individuals and corporations throughout the greater Bay Area
  • Highlighted story in our e-news reaching 5,000 individuals throughout the greater Bay Area
  • Highlighted story on our website with Company logo and link to Company's website
  • Up to 1000 hours of employee "team building" volunteer work on the home
  • Commemorative plaque
  • Liberal use of Habitat logo for Company promotional purposes

Half-House Sponsor -- Companies that donate $50,000 are the second level. Half-house sponsors join with a second group to sponsor a single Habitat home. Sponsorship benefits include:

  • Participation in the home dedication with the family when the house is complete
  • High visibility signage located at the site indicating Company sponsorship for the duration of the build (typically 6-12 months)
  • An article in our e-news reaching 5,000 individuals throughout the greater Bay Area
  • Listing on our website with Company logo and link to Company's website
  • Up to 500 hours of employee "team building" volunteer work on the home
  • Commemorative plaque
  • Limited use of Habitat logo for Company promotional purposes

Quarter-House Sponsor -- Companies donating $25,000 are the third level. Quarter House Sponsors join with up to three other companies to sponsor a single Habitat home. Sponsorship benefits include:
The Lavin-Tapia family home sponsored by Y&H Soda Foundation

  • Signage located at the site indicating Company sponsorship for the duration of the build (typically 6-12 months)
  • Listing on our website with Company logo and link to Company's website
  • Up to 250 hours of employee "team building" volunteer work on the home
  • Commemorative plaque

"We have had a few good years. We wanted to share the spoils of our success and felt Habitat was a good way to do that. One of the challenges of keeping the economy strong is affordable housing. I'm hoping that people who have reaped the benefits of the booming economy will open their minds and hearts."
