AmeriCorps Volunteers
Habitat for Humanity East Bay hosts AmeriCorps members through the National Direct, VISTA, and LISC programs. Positions are available on the construction site and in the office, and support our construction, fundraising, volunteer, and homeowner relations programs.
The 2010-2011 service term will begin in September, and the application process will open in March. Please check in this spring for information on how to apply. In the meantime, please send us a cover letter and resume to express your interest in serving as an AmeriCorps member this coming term! We can be reached at Volunteer@HabitatEB.org.
History
In 1994, Habitat for Humanity International and the AmeriCorps National Service Program entered into a partnership aimed at mobilizing more volunteers in the fight against poverty housing. Habitat East Bay has hosted AmeriCorps members since 1997, and we have one of the largest Habitat AmeriCorps teams in the country.
