In 2009, Together We Accomplished

• Built 24 affordable homes, bringing our total families served to 241 during the past 21 years
• Over 4,000 volunteers have contributed more than 44,000 volunteer hours
• Became the first Habitat affiliate in California to earn LEED GOLD
• Received our highest GreenPoint Rating yet for environmentally sustainable homes at the Edes Avenue development
• Launched the new Neighborhood Stabilization Program in partnership with Contra Costa County and the City of Hayward to rehab foreclosed properties into homeownership opportunities up to 20 foreclosed properties turning them into new homeownership opportunities for families.
• Successfully held our largest Build-A-Thon in Habitat East Bay history - framing 20 homes in 4 days
• Continued to build homes abroad through our global investment program - bringing the total families served to 451 during the past 21 years
• Secured land in our development pipeline to build or rehab more than 100 homes in cities across Alameda and Contra Costa County.

• We will continue to build greener, more environmentally friendly homes
• We will continue to address the foreclosure crisis by rehabilitating foreclosed properties
• We will hold our annual Earth Day Build-A-Thon at a new development in Oakland where we will frame 10 homes in 4 days
• We will dedicate our 250th home and the completion of our 54 home Edes Avenue development – the largest Habitat development in California
• We will continue to make a difference abroad through our global investment program
• We will continue to work toward our goal of serving a total of 400 families by our 25th anniversary in 2013
